I am having issues burning to dual layer verbatim disks. It seems to be k3b issue and not hardware issue since it is occurring on different machines and I do not have this occurring when I use Brasero.

I am running Ubuntu 10.04.2 on a Lenovo T61 and just switched from the same to Mint 11 on my desktop with an LG drive. Both these machines get so far and then return 'can not read sector ...." and dumps out the disk.

As said I have no issue using the same disks with Brasero or with Roxio on my work Win7 machine. I am running the K3B in a Gnome environment - but that should not be an issue. I prefer to use K3B since the GUI is superior to Brasero.

I should mention that I have no issue with any type of single layer DVDs or CDs.
