Is K3b supposed burn files that will play sequentially?

Have been trying to do a VCD-burning project that has various short mpeg1 video files on it. I've been simply adding the files to the K3b burn window and then burning, but there's a problem.

I want the files to play sequentially till they reach the end.
But usually what happens is that the resulting VCD gets hung up on the first file's track (sometimes a later track) and doesn't continue to later tracks unless I manually press a "next forward" button. (Same prob on both 'puter movie player and on a standalone player.)

My question is: what is K3b supposed to do with files added to a VCD project? Is the resulting VCD supposed to play sequentially or not (in other words, go automatically from track to track till reaching the end)? If not, then do I have to (or can I even) do something to make the files play sequentially? Do I have to do something to "link" or "splice" the files in K3b before burning?

That is because KDE doesn't provide any video editing facilities; you need to use KDEnlive or similar to create the disk and then burn the resulting file to disk.
