I set K3b to "use the same settings as last time"

and this works for everything but the burn speed. I have to set it to 8x every time. I would like it to remember that I want to burn at 8x. Then I can just click the burn button.

If anyone knows how to accomplish this or what im doing wrong, please let me know.

thanks so much :)

If you create a new user and ask it to remember your settings, is the burn speed remembered there? This could be a bug, as K3b may be setting the automatically detected fastest possible speed overriding your preference.

Yes, I think its either a bug or the way they meant for it to work. Weather I set to remember last used settings or used saved settings does not make a difference. It never remembers that I used 8x or in the case of saved settings, that I saved the settings with 8x selected.

Maybe an additional option in the interface settings could be added for it to remember burn speed preference.

To get this happening, I would recommend filing a bug report / feature request at bugs.kde.org (if one doesn't already exist - please do search)
