I have a remote share mounted as cifs in fstab. If I attempt to search in it, I don't get any results, no matter what I enter.
If I access it via Network->Samba shares in dolphin, everything works. Using KDE4SC and baloo 4.14.3 on arch x64

Why isn't it searching the cifs mount? It's not part of excludes in System Settings -> Desktop search.

So apparently, no locations were indexed, so baloo didn't search. Installed baloo4 -> balooctl disable -> balooctl enable -> wait until files are indexed (balooctl status) and it works.

It's still confusing why accessing the share via dolphin's network menu did allow me to use the search without having anything indexed.
