I am have problems with the index of an external drive. I have added the drive to baloofilerc and it listed by the "balooctl config list includeFolders" command.

I can search and find files on the drive, but information about the file does not seem to be available:
Code: Select all
$ baloosearch Friedrichstrasse
/media/MBext4/backup/localHD/gPodder/Downloads/Drama of the Week/ptw_20141024-1233a.mp3
/media/MBext4/BBC/Drama of the Week/ptw_20141024-1233a.mp3
Elapsed: 0.347363 msecs
$ balooshow '/media/MBext4/backup/localHD/gPodder/Downloads/Drama of the Week/ptw_20141024-1233a.mp3'
kf5.kcoreaddons.kaboutdata: Could not initialize the equivalent properties of Q*Application: no instance (yet) existing.
No index information found

The drive has been indexed, but shows as follows:
Code: Select all
$ balooctl status /media/MBext4/
File: /media/MBext4/
Basic Indexing: Scheduled

I discovered this because Dolphin is not showing the ID3 tag information for files on the drive. I'm wondering what would cause this and how to remedy it.

Thanks... Gregg.

Well that issue seems to have resolved itself.

I presume that my assumptions on how files are indexed are wrong... Seems that file names are indexed before metatdata.
