I have this question,
It may be the way baloo works, I dont know.
I installed opensuse 15.2, then i set up the folder i wanted indexed by baloo including the content of the files.
For the purposes of this question lets say my folder contains 10 files, so after finished the indexing checking on balooctl status the total number of files was 10 and the files to index was 0 all ok.
after i reboot the computer, I checked and found baloo indexing all files again, so after finished, checking balooctl status, the total number of files was 20 and the files to index was 0, the third time I rebooted the computer was 30 total number of files, and so on every time i reboot baloo reindex all files again and add the number of files to the total number.
Again i dont know if this is correct or something is wrong, the way i see it it is wrong as the total files on the index must be the number of files on the folder to be indexed
