Renaming a file seems to cause Baloo to loose the index entry for it. Can someone confirm that this is a bug and not just me.
Create an empty file - baloosearch for filename works. Remove one letter from the filename and baloosearch does not find the new filename.
Using Manjaro; KDE 5.20.5; Frameworks 5.78.0; Qt 5.15.2 |

Confirmed, Tumbleweed with Frameworks 5.78.o, Plasma 5.20.5 y Qt 5.12.2.
The problem is "File Name Terms:", you can show it using BalooShow -x, are emptied when you rename a file. As a bad workaround you can clear metadata before renaming the file. Yes, I told you, is a really bad workarount.

Thanks for confirming it. When I've got a minute I'll file a bug report.

I've filed a bug report https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=433116
There was already a similar bug https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=392793 But it is hard to tell if it is the same issue. 392793 relates to searching and renaming in Dolphin, which seems to react differently to the renamed file. Anyway, have to wait and see if it gets flagged as a duplicate. |

Hi,
I fixed the problem and created packages for openSUSE and for the brave this could be a temporal solution. I intend to maintain these packages until the problem is fixed. The repository is available https://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/serantes:/branches:/openSUSE:/Factory/openSUSE_Factory/.
