Hi ;)

What is the command for the above output ?

i created redland dir too, after turning off session and logging back in a message indicates of change of search motor , and then strigi is turned in.

If the lack of this dir is the solution then we need a test of its presence and its creation if not there ;)

For my part i haven't tested the search yet, i was talking of making strigi work (index files).
It's now able to run and index files without an error message each time i log in.

If i open /home/user/Documents in dolphin and search for a document i can see in the opened pane i also have an empty result :(
i searched a part of the name of the document (cib) from the top right corner search field in dolphin : is this the right way and place to search with ?

i have a "no item found " result , plus :

nepomuksearch:/?sparql=select distinct ?r where { { { ?r ?v1 ?v2 . ?v2 bif:contains "'cib*'" . } UNION { ?r ?v1 ?v3 . ?v3 ?v4 ?v2 . ?v4 <http://www.w3.org/2000/01/rdf-schema#subPropertyOf> <http://www.w3.org/2000/01/rdf-schema#label> . ?v2 bif:contains "'cib*'" . } . { ?r a ?v5 . ?v5 <http://www.w3.org/2000/01/rdf-schema#subClassOf> <http://www.semanticdesktop.org/ontologies/2007/03/22/nfo#FileDataObject> . } UNION { ?r a ?v6 . ?v6 <http://www.w3.org/2000/01/rdf-schema#subClassOf> <http://www.semanticdesktop.org/ontologies/2007/03/22/nfo#Folder> . } . } . }

You are searching in the right way!
However, can you test the following thing?
->Search for the tag you've add to some files\folder in krunner and look if shows some result.
->Search for the tag into dolphin, while typing in the search bar you should get a suggesion ( like: tag: mytag ), click on it and see if you got any kind of error.
Thanks:)

How do you tag a file or directory ?

Open Dolphin, select your file, in the right pane you should have "add tag.."!

never used this before :D

ok,
i tagged one directory with avatars
and one file with fol cible emploi

when i search in

- Krunner :

i can't see no result with avatars, nor with fol cible emploi BUT
i can see the files which name comes with cib or some web pages linked with ava (name of the web site contains ava)

- Dolphin :

the search bar offers the avatars tag, clicking on it gives no result
then offers the fol cible emploi tag , but only when searching for the 1st word (fol) : no tag when using cible or emploi , and no result at all with fol :(

Same problem as me, i don't know why Opensuse users have trouble, a friend of mine which use gentoo doesn't have any kind of problem. I've opened a bug on kde, fell free to add details:)

Bad news in my case.. Nepomuk worked OK yesterday, but today morning my PC was hanging, load being 25 and all the memory along with swap consumed. I suspect it's Nepomuk to blame, because I've never had the issue before.

Anyway, I stopped Nepomuk and now I'm trying to start it again. What I get is:
Code: Select all

The same. The only service regarding Nepomuk that stays alive after quitting Nepomuk with "qdbus org.kde.NepomukServer /nepomukserver quit" is this:
Code: Select all
/usr/bin/akonadi_nepomuk_contact_feeder --identifier akonadi_nepomuk_contact_feeder

That is normal, and is part of another application ( namely Akonadi )

Try checking $(kde4-config --localprefix)/share/apps/nepomuk for a PID file stored by Virtuoso and remove it. Also, please check what PID "1005" is, and kill it if needed.

Code: Select all
[/usr/bin/nepomukservicestub] "09:33:24 Virtuoso is already runnning (pid 1005)

Yes, after killing PID 1005 I can start nepomukserver again :)

1005 was:
Code: Select all
1005  4.2  1.4 126676 29188 ?        Sl   Jan14  51:00 /usr/bin/virtuoso-t +foreground +config /tmp/virtuoso_ik1000.ini +wait
