Nepomuk/strigi Error

Fri Feb 19, 2010 9:01 pm
Hi,

After every reboot, I get this error:

Code: Select all
The name org.kde.nepomukstrigiservice was not provided by any .service files

When I uncheck both Nepomuk and Strigi in Desktop Search, wait a few seconds, then check these again, Strigi starts indexing.

I also occasionally get:

Code: Select all
Strigi service failed to initialize, most likely due to an installation problem"

I really have no idea what's wrong here.

If you enable Nepomuk, but disable Strigi does this occur? Also, make sure you are using the Virtuoso backend, and please update to KDE 4.4.2 if available.
