Hi,

in the options of strigi I excluded the folder my NFS shares on a NFS are mounted to.

When I activate strigi my NAS starts to work though. The information on mouse over in the tray shows that a folder is being indexed that isn't on that share so I don't understand this behavior. As soon as I suspend indexing the HDD on the NAS stops reading.

Any ideas what's going wrong?

Can you please check using lsof or strace to see if Strigi is indeed accessing your NAS folders? If so, I would consider this a bug, which can be reported at bugs.kde.org.

Thanks for the hint with ls. It's nepomukse that causes this problem:
Code: Select all
nepomukse 3934 thomas   20r      DIR               0,16      4096 38780978 /home/thomas/DiskStation/Thomas/backup/molungus-home/komplett_2010-01-31/Uni/empirische-paedagogik.de/ub2002neu/inhalt/ergebnisse/spezial (192.168.0.7:/volume1/public)

DiksStation is the folder for my NFS shares.

So I should file a bug report?

Yes, please file a bug report, including the full command of the offending process ( ps aux | grep nepomukse ) and the lsof / strace output.
