Nepomuk Data Storage

Fri Aug 06, 2010 10:35 pm
Have just installed openSuse 11.3 as new install but with previous /home directory extant.
I am getting persistent error message:- "Nepomuk was not able to find the configured database backend 'redland'. Existing data can thus not be accessed. For data ..."

Please could somebody advise how I can sort this out?

Can you please ensure "soprano-backend-redland" and "soprano-backend-virtuoso" are installed? After that, run "kbuildsycoca4 --noincremental"

Hi and many thanks for the reply. soprano-backend-redland was not installed so I have installed it and run kbuildsycoca4 --noincremental. This generated a lot of text including many recommendations I didn't understand. Will re-boot and return for more help if symptom persists
Thanks again,
