Looking at K16 announcement I think people went somewhat off topic and started discussing about metadata and how it's managed on KDE.
That discussion made me think that while embedding metadata in files is a huge time saving as every user of a file can benefit from other's time, in-file tagging it can bring important privacy issues. Some tags are useful to everyone (For example: the city where a picture was taken) but other tags might be private (my "stupid-boss" was on that picture) and we don't want those to be attached to the picture if we send it to our boss, right . What do you think about this use case? |
