Duplicate Tags In Dolphin/Nepomuk

Thu Jan 27, 2011 11:16 pm
Hello,

if I add a tag to a file or kontacts in addressbook all looks right.
Then the next time I start KDE I have a few tags multiple times. 2 or 3 times. I already had this problem with 4.4 and 4.5. Now I have 4.6 and the problem remains the same.
I ignored the problem a long time. Before installing 4.6 I had about 20 Versions auf the same tag.
I deleted the whole nepomuk db before installing 4.6. But as written above, now at day 2 I have the same problem again.
I didn't find something here or in the bugtracker. Am I the only Person with that problem?

Is there anything special about the files you are tagging? Are they located outside your home directory, use characters outside ASCII, in a very deep folder structure (255 characters or longer)?

Hi,

thanks for your reply.
I use german umlauts like ä,ö,ü (ä...) in my tags and a few files and because of nested categories from addressbook : in my tag names (but this is in ascii range).
I noticed that only Tags, which I did create in adressbook are multiple times present.
I use one tag, which I only use in dolphin and this one is there without any duplicates.
All my files are inside my home directory.
