Has anyone else seen this? I just switched to ArchLinux from Slackware and installed KDE 4.6 (I love it, way to go KDE team) and I decided to try out nepomuk for the first time. In all previous versions of KDE 4 I've disabled it because I didn't want the functionality for that much CPU time.
So it's been indexing constantly every time I boot for the last few days so I got curious and started looking at what it has opened using lsof. For the last ~2 hours the only file that I've seen it open (aside from all the libraries of course) is a PDF copy of "The Essence of Functional Programming". After a while I tried killing the daemon and letting it restart and it went right back to the same pdf and it's still churning on it. It's taking 100% CPU according to top but as far as I can tell not making any progress. |
