Hey everyone,
I'm having a bunch of issues with Nepomuk/Strigi (though I'm glad to see that it actually works!) but here is a simple one I would like to figure out. The title says it all: when I put a relatively common word in my KRunner, I tend to simply get 10 PDFs as a result, instead of the few files that have the query in the filename. It would be great if filename matches came before content matches, but at the very least I am hoping there is a way to get just filename hits from the runner. Is there? Thanks very much for your help! |

Unfortunately I don't think it's possible to configure yet. I agree that it would be nice and I posted this suggestion here (still haven't got around to report it as a wishlist yet though...).
In the meanwhile you might want to give fsrunner a try.

Thanks for the response, fsrunner is great! This has certainly supplanted my Nepomuk/Strigi needs for the moment, unless I ever find that I need to tag things or search by content as well as by filename. Cheers.

You can create a custom shortcut for just Nepomuk search in KRunner: System Settings -> Shortcuts and Gestures -> Global Keyboard Shortcuts -> KDE component: Run Command Interface -> Run Command (runner "Nepomuk Desktop Search Runner" only. Useful for content search or for files fsrunner hasn't indexed.
