Hey. My name is Max. I'm an animator. I tried and know many programs for creating animations.(TVpaint animation, Moho, Toon Boom...) Some moments related to timelines, namely with frames. At the moment this is terribly inconvenient. Copy, stretch, produce any monitor with frames. No need to invent anything new, it is enough to take a time-tested method. (Example from TVPaint animation) It would be very cool if you added something similar to Krita. Thank you

To make a frame longer you need to manually move everything back. You can also RIGHTCLICK the top of the timeline to do a few collumn manipulations, but it is limited for now and applies to the whole stack.
Adding frames needs to be done one by one for now. You can also copy drag and drop frames with shift, you can do this multiple times with increasing the range and thus create new frames for a lot of frames. It's not ideal but it works. The way krita would probably need to do it is select a range of frames and have acreate frame function or context menu entry. There also needs to come an "insert" and an "insert and pull" and an "delete and pull" operation in the contextmenu or via shortcut. All of those things are workflow improvements that are already documented in some way,but need someone to implement them. The devs are aware of them because i nag them constantly about it. ![]() We will need to be patient or find someone who can code it to come and talk to us on IRC about it. That would be great! |
