Hi all.
Its just a couple of weeks i am using krita but i found really hard take confidence with krita brushes. First let me tell that i found the documentation about the brushes icons (here) https://community.kde.org/Krita/Brushes_Preset_Preview and i found really simple and useful the placement icon!. The placement was a good idea to keep the icons readable and organized even if someone customize them... Now, it just my opinion but looking in the docker for the right brush is quite messy.. Even in the default collection there are a lot of brushes soo similar and the strokes are really little. More than this , when i take a little journey on the web for new brushes i found collection customized like sphere and baloons and so on. There are also some problem managing the brushes? for esample renaming one brush , will erase him from the current selection of tag. And the order in wich they are shown in the "pop-up-palette" is aplhabetical ? So i suggest to add the option to show or not show some label , based on the tag maybe. I know that the color of the stroke in the preview should mean "smudge" normal and so on. So there are vary option, like add a tag Smudge and Mix and show the BLUE label to every brush that have it. And apply the Custom Label to some of them , your favourites to keep the local docked in your Main collection but keep simple locate the one you use often.. This could be a reasonable way to manage all kind of icons and brushes the people will customize.... and with a little more work i think should be possible assign also a number to it for the slot they should occupy in the pop-up-palette Thanks for your time and work .. ![]() Here a test image https://ibb.co/mGvKAx |
