Just changed over to Krita 4 and I think the new features added to the Pop up pallete are great. Real quality of life improvements that have removed the need for four of my quick keys and still looks elegant with it.
My problem though is that the usefulness of these tools is limited by the amount of space taken up by the main wheel. Which makes it hard to see the image as you zoom in or out and rotate the screen. Is there any way the wheel could change opacity when the mouse moves to the rotation nub or zoom slider? Or have it so the wheel is only visible when the cursor is over it? I have very little coding knowledge, with zero experience in Python, so I can't tell if this type of on the fly UI opacity is possible. |

Technically it's possible, and it doesn't need Python but C++, but I'm not worth the benefit is worth the added complexity.

This is what I do with mine, seen on link below (hide some controls and reduce the opacity radius of the wheel) because in my case, bringing the pallet constantly creates a "flashing" effect tasking on my sight, specially when the number of presets makes the icons smaller. If you build Krita you may be able to change opacity (I'm no programmer nor do I know any code). Or bring a very good mock-up of what could work better. (specially on touch devices as the new controls are aimed at those) I'm sure the devs could look at it and open the dialog for solutions. ![]() https://s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/mast ... e7f2a3.png

Thanks for the response but what do you mean by the "opacity radius of the wheel"? Is this an option? |

Not a UI option, it's a number in the code, as I mentioned above, a couple of things can be done when you build Krita locally. (or a lot of things for those who know programming)
