Hello everyone,
I open a new topic, to propose a suggestion for improvement of the Pop Up Palette and a proposal for a navigation tool. This topic is also echo about topic from « jonathanbe » here : https://forum.kde.org/viewtopic.php?f=156&t=151605 But as I propose at the same time a new navigation tool, I allowed myself to open a new topic. Wishing you good reading https://drive.google.com/open?id=12pgwL2rQVSIEXC0xXudtavux54JstTwy |

I'll wait for other artists to chime in, but I think you've got some interesting ideas in this pdf.

The idea of lowering the opacity when you are rotating or zooming is a neat idea. That is a small change that would make it a bit easier to see the canvas.
The navigation tool is an entirely new tool, so it seems like a very different task to do. We already have multiple ways and "quick" ways to do things like zooming and panning, so I am not sure how this would be better than all the ways we have. If it is just "another way" to do something, it might be better as a plugin. I am not quite sure what the current problem that is trying to solve. We currently have a lot of ways to do things like zooming and panning (with or without a keyboard or mouse), so I am not sure how this would be different. it might need some more discussion |

I'd like to see refinement on Pop-up palette as it is Krita Signature Tool
I use keyboard Shortcut (Ctrl+Space+Shift and Num 4,5,6) to rotate, zoom and Pan so I don't understand the workflow of new Navigation tool. I think artists who rely on Stylus and Monitor shortcut could explain more on this topic

In this case, what was the point of putting the zoom, rotation, and mirror in the Pop Up palette? That is good there was an interest to put them more accessible and all in the same place. Despite everything I still say that it is a pity that the zoom is limited and we can not have the panoramic and more. After reflection, I wonder if it would not be possible to have access to a navigation tool through an icon in the Pop Up palette. When you are in the Pop Up palette, you click on the icon to switch to the Navigation tool, and when you close the navigation tool, you switch back to the Pop Up palette. Thus you would lighten the Palette Pop Up and there would be only tools for brushes and colors. And the navigation tool would have the panning and more, and a more powerful zoom because no limit. In any case, if you could already reduce the opacity of the Pop Up palette during rotation and zooming it would be great. Thanks again to you for Krita |

Hello,
Just a little thank you message. I just installed version 4.1.7 of Krita and I saw that you had made the Pop Up palette transparent when manipulating rotation and zoom. So a big thank you to the Krita team. It really makes a big difference. Thanks again to you for Krita |

It'd be best to report a proper bug for that then. There's a slight chance boud is gonna miss that message

It's been fixed in the 4.2.0 pre-alphas. I should have checked the pre-alpha!
I'm not sure why I got confused about which version I was trying (probably advancing senility) but there IS a bug in the pre-alphas and I've reported it: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=402296 |
