Python: Making brush tips and brush presets

How do I make brush tips and brush presets in python? I'm trying to replace the current brush's tip with the current layer, but any and all information leading to brushes in python is greatly appreciated.

Not possible currently. We're waiting for the resource rewrite before we add such API.
