Hello,
I'm coming back to you to submit a new toolkit on KRITA. I did not find matching topics on the forum. I was wondering if it would not be possible to create an assistant for brushes based on vector lines and more specifically on Bezier curves. The current "Bézier Curve" wizard does not allow to make a curve greater than 2 points. This tool would be particularly useful (as I noticed recently) to perform a graphical search (testing of different brushes) on precise and complex curves. Or even more simply, make an accurate curve at once time, while enjoying the control of the pressure of the stylus. This tool already exists partially for the "calligraphy" tool, which possible to follow the drawing on a selected curve. Its first flaw is that it only works for the "Calligraphy" tool. We do not have the opportunity to do the same thing with the brushes. Its second flaw (in my opinion) is that the plot and the selected curve must be on the same layer. And finally his third flaw (always in my opinion) is that it follows the curve scrupulously early. It is not possible to send the tool from an intermediate point of the curve. That's how I would see the implementation of this new wizard: 1-We would create a new vector layer, on which we can draw Bezier curves or any other vector line. 2-We select the layer and in the contextual menu (or in the mixing mode, for example) we would find an option to convert the layer to assistant. 3-On a standard layer, we use the desired brush by checking the wizard which allows him to follow the various vector paths. 4-Once we need it more, we can return to the vector layer where we have drawn all our guides, and in the contextual menu we would find the option to remove the layers of the assistants (or switch back to the mode of mixing in normal). Or we could also delete the layer, if we are sure we really do not use it anymore. Of course I suspect that it is not necessarily easy to create this kind of tool. But to my knowledge, I do not know software with such a tool, but I do not know all the software either. Now, maybe this tool will does not interest anyone? Give me your opinion. |
