Orthogonal Projection Assistant

Fri Dec 27, 2019 4:11 pm
Hello everyone,

I've made a thread about this over krita-artists.org, and I would like to discuss this on this forum as well. :)

https://krita-artists.org/t/orthogonal- ... stant/2273

What I'm currently thinking about is making an extension in Krita's Assistant Tool to ease the way of making orthogonal projections.

The way I was taught is to draw lines for making precise sketches of the top, side, and front views of a certain model. Perhaps it would be better to add a new feature where you can specify the centre between the quadrants, so that you can see guides real-time, like this:

I've been suggested that the best approach would be to make a C++ plugin. As said in the thread on krita-artist.org, I've got minimal knowledge of C++, and none of Qt, so working on this could be a good learning experience. o) Feedback from people who know about the implementation details would also be very welcome.

I have no idea what you are talking about, but that is one really cool drawing!
