Torio --
Can you provide some instruction on how everything is supposed to work? I have the plugin compiled and can load the dockers, but it's not at all clear how to add frames, what the 'anicontrol' layer is supposed to do, etc. I can only seem to draw on a normal layer and everything only draws on. Is each layer supposed to be a separate frame or is each frame a separate image on disk, or what? FWIW, I am using git master right now (2.6 alpha)

Ha! Cool! Functionally the timeline concept is very similar to TVPaint's

I hate to sound impatient but does anyone know what happened to the GSoC project? I've just been curious about it for a while.

We got a long way, but ran into some trouble with the zip file library we used to store the actual animations. We've got a solution for that, but the implementation will have to wait until Somsubhra is done with his exams. As he said yesterday on Twitter, two down, one to go

Thanks for updating! We really need to get this done. This a gigantic feature. I hope if he is not able to complete it for some reason, that someone else can pick it up. I just replaced my wacom pen and i'm ready to animate!

Any news on the gsoc animation branch? Sohumbra's blog hasn't been updated in a while.
It would be nice to know how things are going, and if you think it's a valid 2.9 target along with the kickstarter features. |

It's been merged already. My god, did we forget to mention that? If you build it yourself, or use Krita Lime, you might be able to find it in your terminal via kritaanimation. However, there's still some funny things going on with icons in many distributions(including windows apparantly). You can see it in action here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LnvVCHRzDoY#t=12 as for somsubhra, he's a student, and it is the first term of the year ![]() We'll hear from him when things have died down again. In the meantime, there is another coder trying to become familiar with the code at the moment, trying to see if he can make some nice tools. |

Well the branch is in master and can be tried there, but as of now it's not ready for production and might not make it into 2.9. Depends on how much work that stuff gets, but everyone is pretty busy currently.

That's great! I am gonna give it a try when i get to my linux machine. Seems even in beta it will be fine to doodle with it.
