من اولین باری هست که وارد سیستم عامل لینوکس شدم
من تو کنسول زدم
sudo apt-get install vlc
ارور  داد  couls not find package
چیکار کنم ؟

فکر نکنم اینجا جای خوبی برای سوالات مربوط به توزیع‌های خاص باشه !!
ولی اگر از ابونتو آخرین نسخه‌ی ۳۲ بیتی استفاده می‌کنید (jaunty 9.04) این مراحل رو انجام بدید :

در کنسول (Application->System->Console) تابپ کنید :
sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list

بعد محتویات اون رو با محتویات خطوط زیر جایگزین کنید :

بعد توی همون کنسول این عبارات رو تایپ کنید :

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install vlc

یا هر نرم افزار دیگری که خواستید اجرا کنید.
در ضمن با نصب پکیج‌های w32codecs می‌تونید با هر پلیری فایل‌هایی رو که خواستید نصب کنید .
نصب mplayer و رابط اون یعنی smplayer هم توصیه می‌شه .
