EVERY update of kde brings new degradations in the user interface. :(
Just upgraded from 4.7 to 4.8. In the 4.7 series, the alt+tab combination would bring up a list (in lines - one item per line) of windows, making it quite easy to see what is going on. In kde 4.8, alt+tab brings up a horizontal row of icons so MASSIVE that only four of them fit on the page at once (running at 1280x1024 - not the largest resolution, but it should certainly be adequate). I have to keep pressing tab to cycle through the dozen or so windows, and I can't see them all at one time. Why this horrible change, and is their any way to get the old behavior back? |

Thank you. That answered the second (and more important) part of my question, though the first part remains a mystery. :) |

Answer to you first question:
It is your distribution, building kde from sources since 3.x I never noticed such a change in behaviour. |
