What happened to alt+tab?

Mon Jun 04, 2012 2:26 am
EVERY update of kde brings new degradations in the user interface. :(

Just upgraded from 4.7 to 4.8.

In the 4.7 series, the alt+tab combination would bring up a list (in lines - one item per line) of windows, making it quite easy to see what is going on.

In kde 4.8, alt+tab brings up a horizontal row of icons so MASSIVE that only four of them fit on the page at once (running at 1280x1024 - not the largest resolution, but it should certainly be adequate). I have to keep pressing tab to cycle through the dozen or so windows, and I can't see them all at one time.

Why this horrible change, and is their any way to get the old behavior back?

Thank you. That answered the second (and more important) part of my question, though the first part remains a mystery. :)

Answer to you first question:

It is your distribution, building kde from sources since 3.x I never noticed such a change in behaviour.
