I just upgraded from kde 4.7 to kde 4.8 which has (as usual) brought a large number of annoyances.
In kwrite, it now seems that there is a red bar on the left to indicate changed lines (I couldn't find any documentation about it anywhere, though). I don't like that, but I could probably live with it, IF the red lines would disappear when I saved the file. But they don't - they turn GREEN instead. I don't want colored lines all over my plain text files. Is there any way to turn this off? |

Use F1 or open http://docs.kde.org/stable/en/kde-basea ... -menu.html View → Show Icon Border |

Weird, I don't have that option here (KWrite 4.8.3), but F6 works. OP: See http://kate-editor.org/2012/02/26/disab ... ndicators/

You have that option of course: View → Show Icon Border (F6) (Power user mode) |
