Hi! I love kde, but i hate blue highlighting in the default plasma theme, 'cause i'm using only grey colors in my desktop decor('cause my eyes are crying, when i'm working a lot of time with my laptop :3 ) So, this problem is solved by installing other plasma theme(however i suggest to remove blue in the default plasma theme :) ), but when panel in the autohide mode, i have something like blue highliging near with hidden panel. Is this optionaly? :) Thanks. P.s sry for my english, it'll be great, if u correct me. :) |

Sounds like the shadow drawn by KWin, maybe? You can configure that in the Desktop Effects section.

I have never seen this, if you change the theme does the line go away or change color? does it happen if you create a new user or when you used the default theme? |

I believe Plasma itself is responsible for this - and the nature and colour are controlled by the Plasma theme in use.

No. It happens in all cases. Is it working on yours desktop? |

I examined the Plasma Desktop source code, and have determined that the blue highlighting (which is called a Glowbar by Plasma) is set by the Plasma theme as I originally suspected. See the SVG widgets/glowbar.

There was already a thread covering this: viewtopic.php?f=17&t=90248&hilit=blue+glow (though, in the end, it covered more than just this blue glow in Air) I've locked this thread, so that we don't keep the same discussion in two places. |
