I'm new to playing with KDE, and thought it would be fun to get my feet wet by designing an animated cursor set. I've poked around and can't find a tutorial on how to get started doing that. Is there a "Dummies guide to designing and installing cursors" out there? None of my searches turned up anything...

KDE uses the standard X Cursor system for cursors. I would suggest looking for tutorials relating to that as a starting point.
