I recently moved from linux mint to arch linux (kde). One thing that I have noticed is that almost all the applications firefox, chrome, eclipse, springsource have lost that glossy look that I had in Linux Mint. I feel like I moved from Windows 7 to windows classic if you get me.
Even google home page fonts look bigger and uglier in arch kde. The popups were glossy in linux mint but I can't seem to get the same look and feel here. Is this because firefox and chrome are built using gtk and hence they are not rendering well in qt ? Please advice me in getting the correct feel for my applications. |

Do you have the same Gtk theme installed on Arch that you have on Mint?

Turning on anti-aliasing did the trick and also I installed ttf-liberation fonts also and now my firefox and chrome are good.
