Hi there. Is it possible to add more lines to KDE panel (Kicker or how is it called)? I would like to have the application runners in separate line and the task list (running applications) in another line. This is very simple to do in Windows, but I still dont know how to do it in KDE. I can only adjust the size of the whole panel. I think it was possible in KDE 3.x too.
I may add a new panel, but I am not able to place it just over or under the original panel. The panels are placed on the same place, so only one is visible. Or, I can place it to the top of the screen, but I want it down, just over my first panel. I wonder that this simple feature is not well implemented in KDE 4.9 ![]() I see it was discussed before, with no solution ![]()

viewtopic.php?f=83&t=95278 In grouping panel there is an option "add new column" and you may want to check it. For me on Kubuntu grouping panel doesn't work at all. See bug reports: Bug 294220 - it is not possible to add groups to a grouping panel https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=294220 Bug 302948 - impossible to put anything in order https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=302948 And also this: Please make panel usable on the sides of the screen viewtopic.php?f=93&t=39121 By the way, you can achieve this easily in Xfce and perhaps in Mate (a fork of Gnome 2, see: Linux Mint) as well. |

Well, I may add a grouping panel, but cannot add any group. Seems it is completely broken.

Exactly. Can you add comment on Bug 294220, please. They even haven't changed bug status yet, although they should change it to Confirmed. When more people report it they will change status eventually. |
