I noticed that everytime I make an adjustment to an appearance setting Firefox reverts back to the Gnome Raleigh theme. Is there any way that I can prevent this from happening or make it use the oxygen-gtk3 theme without having to log out?

How have you setup Firefox to use the Oxygen Gtk theme?
You may need to make sure the $GTK*_RC_FILES variables are set to not include the KDE Gtk configuration file, if you have configured it by writing your own file.

By default KDE creates a ~/.kde4/config/gtkrc(-2.0) file that sets the theme to oxygen-gtk:
Firefox, along with other gtk apps, looks fine from the outset. As soon as I change something in System Settings -> Application Appearance however, all gtk apps fallback to Raleigh. |

Simply restarting Gtk applications is not enough to trigger the loading of the proper settings?
Also, can you make sure no gnome daemons running which could be interfering (as they usually do)?
