Hello
![]() i'm not sure if this fits exactly in this part of the forum but could you please help with the following ? After upgrading to kde 4.9.1 i can't turn off the pc anymore using the usual desktop button (right click on desktop/quit/turn off pc). I have only "sleep with ram and hard disk" options left. I'm using "# shutdown -h now" as a workaround but this button is so comfy that i'd like it back ![]() Any idea why it's ko now ? Thanks ![]()

Which display manager are you using? KDM, GDM, LightDM?
Also, have you rebooted since applying the updates?

Hmm. When logged out, does KDM provide an option to initiate shutdown from the login screen?

Good to know it is all working fine. It would be interesting to know why this happened, as I still don't know unfortunately. Hopefully it does not happen again.

ConsoleKit issue.
In case it happens again check the output of
Great way to break that would be to mess up /run reps. /var/run where recenty distros move one onto the other and symlink the sibling. Another thing could be consolekit -> systemd shift (no idea about OpenSuSE in that regard) |
