Hi,

I am using KDE 4.8 on openSuSE 12.2. If I click/hold an entry on the Favourites Menu Tab, I can drag and drop it into an alternative position (up/down).
However, I can not do that on the other menu tabs? I would like to. As an example, I would like the Utilities entry to be at the top of the Application Tab.

If I open KMenuEdit, I can move application entries between Menu headings ( Applications, Development, Games etc), but they will always be listed alphabetically.

Regards, Martin

To my knowledge, the reason for the alphabetical sorting in the list of applications is due to limitations in the XDG standard surrounding the menu which does not allow for specifying the order applications are sorted in.
