I see an Import Scheme settings, how do I conveniently export my custom scheme settings?

Found them in /.kde4/share/apps/color-schemes/

That would be correct. Same goes for any other theme settings files which are stored (per-user) under .kde(4)/share/apps. Note that some of these directories contain theme settings, others contain individual apps' configs, so it is useful to back-up the whole apps folder as well as the rest of the share folder which may save time in setting up all of the different apps and global settings that you want preserved.
