Aaaaand... Everything looks pretty nice, except notifications (and maybe something more but I don't remember right now)

Which version of KDE are you using? Plasma applets are supposed to use the colour scheme defined by the Plasma theme, rather than application colours.

I see. Does this issue occur with other dark coloured themes as well? It looks like the Plasma theme you are using might be missing necessary elements to function as a complete theme under KDE 4.10.
