Hi All,

I wanted to know What file(s) control window, panel positions and style (decorations).
Im looking to replicate these settings by putting them in my /etc/skel directory.

Panel positions, along with all applets in them, as well as the applets on your desktop and the configuration for all elements of the Plasma Desktop (theme, applet config, panel config, mouse actions, etc) are contained in the files "plasmarc", "plasma-desktoprc" and "plasma-desktop-appletsrc".

The window decoration style is likely stored in the "kwinrc" file.

Please note that I would not recommend copying the Plasma Desktop configuration files - you probably want to write a Plasma Desktop script instead, which will perform the configuration for you in a cleaner manner. Documentation on writing and installing such a script can be found on KDE Techbase (techbase.kde.org).
