Is there a way to configure which application can appear as icons in the system tray?

There are some things - only a few, really - that I want to see in the system tray; mostly applications that I don't want to have floating around on the screen or in the task manager, like Pidgin. However, some applications seem to insist on placing themselves there, most notably LibreOffice, and there doesn't seem to be any configuration option in the program itself to turn this behaviour off. Is it possible to control this from the system settings somewhere?

you may need to restart KDE for it to take effect (don't use so ...)

if not check in the Kmenu editor to see if the "place in system tray" option is enabled

Ah! It's that simple, is it :-)

Thanks! I feel I should have notice this on my own, but to be fair, I am somewhat myopic....
