Hello everyone, I'm trying to build an ISO of my distro with KDE. The only problem is that all the theming has to be manually set. I've so far gotten just about everything set, with the exception of a couple things, that I just can't seem to figure out. The problems I've been having are with changing the background, and the color scheme. I got the problem with my window decoration resolved, thankfully, but these two have just been a huge problem.

The first is the problem with my background. As far as I know, to change the background manually, you edit the file ~/.kde/share/config/plasma-desktop-appletsrc and put your wallpaper in there. I've done this manually on my own system, and it worked, but I can't get it to work when I build the ISO. You can view a copy of the file I'm using at this link http://pastebin.com/hS6MJMDQ.

The other problem I'm having is manually changing the color scheme. I've found a couple people trying to do the same thing as me like at this thread, https://forum.kde.org/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=98901, but when I put the color scheme in my kde globals, my color scheme at /usr/share/apps/colorschemes, and build the ISO, it doesn't seem to work. I also can't seem to get it working on my own system, so I'm not sure what the problem is. You can view a copy of my KDE globals here http://pastebin.com/HryNEYNr and a copy of my color scheme here http://pastebin.com/HiEFLL2k

Nevermind, it looks like I got it fixed. I manually set the wallpapers and color scheme, then copied all of KDE's config files. I would have preferred to actually know what settings were to be changed, but this works ;) ...

Instead of manually copying configuration files for Plasma Desktop, I would suggest using Plasma Desktop Javascripting to setup the entire Plasma Desktop layout, including preferences like wallpapers. Documentation on this can be found on KDE Techbase (techbase.kde.org).

In terms of the colour scheme - copying configuration files is the correct approach.
