Where are themes located?

I would like to add the "air for netbooks" theme to a distro that doesn't have it, but I don't know where to look in the distro that has it.

I found the folder (in the distro which has it) ~/.kde/share/apps/desktoptheme/air-netbook/ , but it is empty.

Where is the master directory of desktop themes located?

Depending on your distribution, it will be either at /usr/share/kde4/apps/desktoptheme/ or /usr/share/apps/desktoptheme/.
