Hi,
KDE 4.1.3, openSUSE 11.0 Can someone explain me how to modify the default icon of a file association ? Whatever the type of file, I can't modify the default icon. I tried via the Icon Properties, or from File associations in System Settings, I can't click on the icon. And how to create a new file association ? Thanks, Sebastien ROHAUT

Don't know about changing the icon but this one should be easy. There is an "Add" below the known types in "File associations". The dialogue may not be very intuitive though. I've only used it to add an extension for Microsoft's .docx format and that worked fine (OpenSuse 11.1, KDE 4.1.3).

That is unusual. Changing the icon should be possible, if only for your own custom ones, but it currently appears as if the interface does not currently permit it. This is a regression compared to KDE 3.5.x, with KDE 4 so please file the appropriate bug on bugs.kde.org as I just checked, it is possible in KDE 3.5.x ( the icon is a button )
