I need to be able to centre a panel with just the icons-only task manager applet (so it acts like a dock). The panel should expand when a new application is added to it. Apparently, people have got this to work by moving the "minimum size" sliders as close to the centre as possible, however when I try this all the application icons shrink down, as if the panel does not want to go above the minimum size (or wants to get as close to the minimum size as possible). How can I get this to work the way I want?
