I have this weird problem in KDE. I haven't quite figured out how to reproduce it consistently, but often the problem comes after doing the following:

- Startup laptop (Asus G55VW)
- login KDE
- Unplug AC adapter
- Close the lid
- Laptop automatically suspends
- Open lid
- Laptop resumes correctly
- Sometimes bottom panel battery indicator pops out and stays open on desktop (see link for screenshot)

Does anyone know how to get rid of this problem? it's a cosmetic issue, but still annoying. If I could at least know how to pop it back in that would be great progress.

Thanks!

It appears the battery applet is hidden. Can you try forcing it to always be shown?

Ok. I forced it to be always visible. I will keep testing and report back

So after testing for a significant amount of time the issue is gone ONLY when I force the applet to be shown. As soon as I switch to auto mode, I observe the reported behavior.
