It annoys me for years how file associations are handled. If it's Wine who takes over txt files and starts Notepad or right now Libreoffice that opens Writer for editing. I wonder who is responsible how it is handled. Plasma or the app devs?
Really a pain in the **** is the reassociation. I have to go through all the gazillion of file types and change it by moving Kate/KWrite up/down. Shouldn't we think about a better organization here? For instance not based on the files>app but app>files (e.g. Libreoffice Writer = odt). Perhaps as an additional way of access.
