My favorite icon theme works in Plasma 4 but not in Plasma 5. When I try to import it, I get this error "The file is not a valid icon theme archive."
The icon theme in question is "MIB Ossigeno Ultimate". Download links for it in the "Get New Themes..." thing are broken, but it can be downloaded from here. Has something changed in what is and what isn't a valid theme? Could somebody point me to an icon theme specification that I could use to figure out why its not working? The spec google finds for me seems old. |

Workaround
Downloading the MIB-Ossigeno-Ultimate-Icons-4.3.tar.gz Unpacking the MIB-Ossigeno-Ultimate-Icons-4.3.tar.gz -> MIB-Ossigeno-Ultimate-Icons Copying the MIB-Ossigeno-Ultimate-Icons to ~/.local/share/icons/MIB-Ossigeno-Ultimate-Icons/ Picking the icon theme from the KDE System Settings > Icons Seem to work, at here. The file is not a valid icon theme archive Freedesktop specifications: - http://www.freedesktop.org/wiki/ - http://standards.freedesktop.org/icon-n ... atest.html - http://standards.freedesktop.org/icon-t ... atest.html A quick test: - packing the breeze from /usr/share/icons/breeze/ to breeze.tar.gz. - trying to install with ' Install Theme File' -> 'The file is not a valid icon theme archive' |
