Hi all,

I have searched all over and I cannot find the folder location for the window decorations.

Any ideas?

/usr/share/kwin/decorations/
/usr/share/aurorae/themes/
~/.local/share/aurorae/themes/

(for the aurorae themes, libraries are in /usr/lib/qt/plugins/org.kde.kdecoration2 or /usr/lib/plugins/org.kde.kdecoration2 - depends on your distro)

Found one that I downloaded in
Code: Select all
~/.local/share/aurorae/themes/

and I see that answer was already given but I don't know how to delete this comment.

I would like to know where to find the "Plastik" decorations theme that comes as an alternative to Breeze. It's not in any of the previously suggested folders.

With the Arch:

Code: Select all
$ locate plastik
/usr/lib/qt/qml/org/kde/kwin/decorations/plastik
/usr/lib/qt/qml/org/kde/kwin/decorations/plastik/libplastikplugin.so
/usr/lib/qt/qml/org/kde/kwin/decorations/plastik/qmldir
/usr/share/kservices5/kwin/kwin4_decoration_qml_plastik.desktop
/usr/share/kwin/decorations/kwin4_decoration_qml_plastik
/usr/share/kwin/decorations/kwin4_decoration_qml_plastik/contents
/usr/share/kwin/decorations/kwin4_decoration_qml_plastik/metadata.desktop
/usr/share/kwin/decorations/kwin4_decoration_qml_plastik/contents/config
/usr/share/kwin/decorations/kwin4_decoration_qml_plastik/contents/ui
/usr/share/kwin/decorations/kwin4_decoration_qml_plastik/contents/config/main.xml
/usr/share/kwin/decorations/kwin4_decoration_qml_plastik/contents/ui/PlastikButton.qml
/usr/share/kwin/decorations/kwin4_decoration_qml_plastik/contents/ui/config.ui
/usr/share/kwin/decorations/kwin4_decoration_qml_plastik/contents/ui/main.qml

The Plastik is a qml decoration - QML Support for Window Decorations: https://blog.martin-graesslin.com/blog/ ... corations/

I would like to add a additional folder to that because a friend from Linuxquestions.org made a theme at my request so that I could add KDE2 window decorations. I put it in /usr/lib64/qt5/plugins/org.kde.kdecoration2/kde2_decoration.so. Here is a pic of that working on my current 5.11 install. It would only show up if I put it in that folder.

KDE 5.11.4 running on slackware with KDE2 Window Decoration.

Oh hi man! It looks like you're not using latest version. Please update from this page https://github.com/repos-holder/kdecora ... 2/releases
