Hi,

I'm on a fresh installation of OpenSUSE 42 Leap, & have added a second panel to the side of my screen.

When I add an app to the panel via the menu icon's context menu, it always goes on my bottom panel. Then when I select 'Panel Settings' where I should be able to move the icon, it won't let me drag it to the second panel- only the bottom one.

See screenshots:

The single application launcher is missing from my 'Add Widget' list, so I can't create a launcher.

How can I make this work?

Thanks,

not sure what you mean by "single application launcher", but in Add Widgets there should be an Application Menu and a Application Launcher, are you missing these?

instead of using the coxtext menu in the application launcher/menu you can drag the app's icon to the second panel

Right click the running program at the task list and check "Show A Launcher When Not Running". You get an icon in this task list that can be moved to another panel. I suppose this as a workaround until the old plasmoid comes back (don't remember its name).

Small apology for the necro-bump, but this really follows on:

Is there any advance on this in the last 12 months?
I have 2 screens and 4 panels. The work-around described is painful and a terrible user experience. - I have to exit the app to pin it to a secondary panel. Woeful.

Am I missing something that fixes this?
