After upgrading the system whenever I try to download a .gz or .zip file the page displays a box saying 'Activate Kparts'

How can I revert back to the previous behaviour where the option of which folder to download the zip file to appears?

In (Firefox) 'Preferences -> Applications' check what action is associated with the relevant content type.
