Trouble customizing Plasma 4

Tue Dec 22, 2015 3:26 pm
Hi everyone

I'm having fun customizing my Plasma desktop but I ran into some problems:

    1) Creating a launcher for telegram in the task manager doesn't give me the correct icon of the application. I tried to add a custom icon into the icon theme folder but the issue still persists. Actually I don't know if I made it correctly: I created from the original Telegram icon different sized icons (png format) and copied them as Telegram.png in the apps directories of the theme (/home/myusername/.kde4/share/icons/Buuf_Deuce_for_KDE_1.0 and /usr/share/icons/Buuf_Deuce_for_KDE_1.0/). The strange thing is that before I changed the icon theme and the desktop theme, the Telegram launcher had the right icon.
    2) I would like to modify the icons in the system tray so they would fit to the global icon theme. Some icons are displayed as they should (Kalarm), some instead are the ones included with the default Plasma theme. It's curious but if I hover the mouse cursor upon all the icons in the system tray, the preview-baloon that shows up displays the right icon.
    3) I'm using the Lancelot launcher but I cannot modify the icons under the various categories (applications, system, etc...) and default ones are displayed instead. Every time I try to add an app to Lancelot favourites it just crashes.

Here are some pics of what I described above:

What are your advices?
