I am searching for a fast way to switch users.

A shortcut would be perfect or a bash-command that I can link to a desktop-icon.

Preferably for Kubuntu 16.04.

Part of the Plasma 5 is the User Switcher widget:



Widget is part of the kdeplasma-addons. The Debian based are using package name: plasma-widgets-addons.

The user switching dialog can be started with the command:
