Disabling KDE splash screen

Tue Jul 12, 2016 9:44 am
Hi there,

son after I enter my credentials, KDE shows a splash "loading" screen.

This screen quickly loads to 100%, then gets stuck for a while.

I would like to get rid of the splash screen and just go straight to the desktop… I've been looking for a way to do it for a while now, but couldn't find one… is it possible? How?

Thank you

System Settings > Workspace Theme > Splash Screen > None

Image

Direct:

Code: Select all
$ kcmshell5 --list | grep splash
kcm_splashscreen                 - Splash Screen Theme

=>
Code: Select all
$ kcmshell5 kcm_splashscreen
